Great item in original envelope, excellent condition!
While still not nearly as popular as the annual mint set, the United States Mint’s annual uncirculated coin sets continued to show increased interest. The total sales for the 1952 Mint Set reached 11,499, the highest level for the product to date.
As in previous years, the sets contained two examples of each coin issued for circulation. This year’s set had a total of thirty coins consisting of two examples each for the Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Washington Quarter, and Franklin Half Dollar from the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco mints. For these coins with a face value of $5.46, the United States Mint charged $6.14.
